Snow, and Lots of It

Last night it started snowing, and it hasn't stopped yet. So far, it's up to 21 cm (8.25 inches) on the roof of the Spar behind us. This is easily the biggest snowfall that we've had yet this year.

Hmmm, I hope mom and Dad are not too disappointed.
But it is pretty.

That really looks nice.

We got another 10-15cm today; with only one day as warm as 1C in the last month-plus, we've now got 50-60cm on the ground. . .

And Happy St. Thomas' Day to you. . .

Speaking of St Thomas Aquinas, in the Office of Readings today was an awesome piece from his writings entitled The Cross Exemplifies Every Virtue...Betsy and I both thought it the type of thing that you could read an reread and keep finding new depth as you meditate on the passion and death of Our Lord...it will be a good one for Lent!

Also, I must say, it is more fun to look at your pictures now that we've been there!

South of Michigan Avenue, we got 3-4 inches of snow, because we don't go in for that heretical metric crap! And we've only had two days above 32 degrees Fahrenheit all month.

I'll bring an extra pair of long johns. Maybe I should try to smuggle in a half-dozen snow shovels; maybe pay for the trip!
