Well, he was on the USCCB's committee for Priestly Formation; can we expect even greater response to God's call to the priestly life in this diocese?

I hope so, big daddy! And I hope we can also expect excellent formation of said priests.

I'm concerned that he's so YOUNG!! He's not much older than I am!

Speaking of age, he was born April 10, 1951. Sound familiar?

Well, first fortnight in April is obviously a preferred time for being born. Can't say it's too familiar, as I wasn't alive yet. 1951 was the year of Bobby Thompson's home run, but that was later.

Big daddy, just fyi, April 10,1951 is also the birthdate of your granddaughter's grandpa. He'll be happy to know that you consider people born in that year to be YOUNG!

Lisa and I have actually encountered Bishop Boyea a few times before. He offered the Traditional Latin Mass many times at St. Josaphat in Detroit.
