Here, Maria is winking for the camera, a skill she aquired from her father, because her mother is unable to wink. She is especially winking for her grandparents, whom she misses very much. See mom, I told you I wouldn't let her forget you.
Maria is very satisfied after her dinner of mashed bananas in vanilla yogurt. Her father and mother had spicy chicken and fresh bread and butter. And of course, beer. She didn't know what she was missing. Hopefully we can keep it that way for awhile.

I am glad to hear that Lisa and Maria arrived safely. We prayed especially for their safe travels on Monday. These pictures are priceless, keep 'em coming!
John and Lisa,
Glad to hear Maria and Lisa arrived. We miss you guys back in Michigan but it seems you are entrenched in Catholicism and loving every minute of it as we would as well. We are off to the Apostolate tomorrow to hear from and celebrate with Cardinal Arinze Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday. We hope all is well and will be sure to keep you in our prayers. Be sure to drink a few beers for me while you are there and I tell you I already smoked a cigar in anticipation of tomorrow's implementation of the Mutu Proprio. I can only hope and pray that we will be immersed in Gregorian chant and Latin this weekend with our good friend Cardinal Arinze although I am not sure what they have planned as the church is in a supped up airplane hanger and last I checked no organ is present but they worked with all they had and are bringing the good news to the world so praise be to God.
Pax Christi,
David (and Judie)
Thanks for all your prayers. It was a long flight alone with the baby (we were on the plane a total of 11 hours), but she did very well, all things considered.
David and Judie:
We miss all our dinner dates. Hope you have a wonderful time with Cardinal Arinze.
