Concerning beer

Our favorite Austrian beer maker (Berg König, Mountain King) has introduced a seasonal brew called Festbock. It is quite good, with an excellent deep red coloring. The incredibly sad news, however, is that Berg König's wheat beer, which had heretofore been our staple, has disappeared entirely.

Say it ain't so, Johnny. . .

Still have the bottle we shared sitting proudly on my shelf, next to the bottle of Fat Bastard wine. . .

Is that Maria in the background, demanding a refill?

I'm afraid it is true, after all. It took about a week after that fateful shopping trip when we realized it was gone for me to recover my good spirits.

Since then, however, we've kept pretty cheery by partaking of the Berg Koenig premium lager, and more recently, of the Festbock. All in all we're in no position to complain here.

the words you use are way too big. "heretofore"? seriously? c'mon big guy... still it is sad about the beer - i guess.

Careful there, Vince, your older brother will start suspecting you of preferring the current translation of the Mass into English.

Indeed I might. Which if true would be ineffably sad.

Looking forward to the website. Let me know when it exists. Did you see the one that John & Sandi set up for Scavone recipes? Very cool.
