John, Lisa and Maria. I am now a Parishioner at St Josaphat. This weekend, we had a visiting priest, who I felt was very much a supporter of Tradition. In his sermon, he mentioned "those who desire to change the Liturgy and put in it those things that they like and appease them." He talked about how this was extremely wrong. He went on on several other points all relating to this Sunday's Scripture. He definitely targetted the Novus ordo without saying it. It was great. And 2 more parishes in the Detroit Archdiocese now have the latin Rite. I'm waiting for Lansing to get it together with our new Bishop. Oh, yes. The St Josaphat cluster has now had the Latin Rite prayed in all 3 churches now. The doors are openning.

I'm moving into Ann Arbor this week. I'll email my new address and phone to you shortly.

Jim,

Um, I'm pretty sure the St. Josaphat / St. Joseph / Sweetest Heart of Mary cluster has had the Latin rite offered in all three Churches pretty regularly...

You forgot to add the modifier "traditional".

One might also raise the point that since all of them were functioning parishes prior to these past forty years of liturgical wandering in the desert, even the traditional latin rite of Mass has been offered in each of them many times. It's great that the old Mass has returned to them all though :)

Great to hear that you're a parishioner at St. Josaphat though, I'm sure we'll run into you more than a few times there over the summer. We're quite looking forward to it!

Ah, but Sweetest Heart of mary had the first Latin Mass in 38 years just 3 weeks ago on a Friday. It was announced at Mass a couple weeks ago. Oh, and the Divine Mercy was prayed at St Joseph with the Tridentine Mass. It was wonderful.

I'll see you this summer.
