St. George, of an illustrious family, having reproached Diocletian for his cruelty, was subjected therefore to atrocious torments and was finally beheaded in 304. He is venerated as the patron of Christian soldiers, and is the Patron of England.

John,
No comments regarding the Tigers lately? The bats appear to finally be heating up with yesterday's 19-6 trouncing of the Rangers. Granderson is back and Polanco and Sheffield may be back by the end of the week. Plus, Verlander finally got his first win.
The previous comment was mine.
Will
Go Tigers!
Nice to have Granderson back in the lineup, for sure.
I've only mananged to hear one game in which they've one, but it's nice to check the internet in the mornings and see scores like 10-2, 19-6, etc.
Today is a day game (which means we can hear it without staying up all night), but I have to attend a lecture on St. Catherine of Siena, so I'll end up missing most of it I'm afraid.
It would be nice to see a sweep of TEX though!
St. George, he slew the dragon,
But he didn't shout 'hooray!'
He dumped it in the wagon
Just to clear the mess away.
But the wagoner he sold it
To a showman at the fair,
And when St. George was told it
He was almost in despair.
For people crowded 'round it
To admire its teeth and claws,
But St. George was an Englishman
And didn't like applause.
"The creature weighed a ton at most,"
He muttered through his vizhard.
"I do not feel inclined to boast
About that puny lizahd."
Ogden Nash, I think
Bravo!
