What Team to Root For

Lisa found a fun baseball flowchart which tells you what team you should root for based on your answers to various questions. It appears that I ought in fact to be an Atlanta Braves fan...

Oh well, go Tigers!

There's some pretty funny stuff in there. . .

Apparently I'll be seeing you at Braves games (or Indians, depending what you mean by 'I grew up in this town'). But I think that the whole 'Indian mascot' question came way too early in the decision tree. . .

And apparently, to be a true Tiger fan, I'd have to be touchy and violent. Which just makes me wanna punch somebody in the face. . .

I especially liked the first question: 'do you have a soul?' Yes? Yankees fan.

It was the 'No' answer that got you to the Yankees, but yeah. (Sorta like being a Michigan fan, when you think of it. . .)

And the 'what's in the thermos?' bits, where 'The Clear' got you to the Giants. . .

Of course. No soul = Yankees fan. Obvious. Not really seeing the connection with Univ.M.

Also hilarious was the White Sox fan threatening to punch someone in the neck. Who punches people in the neck? That's terrible.

I know; and that - the location of the punch - was the only distinction between Tiger fans and White Sox fans, making them the fan-base most closely related to us. . . And most of my family are Sox fans; so I'll be sure to guard my neck around them. . .

Actually, one of the DJs on a sports-talk station I often listen to - out of Detroit - likes to use the phrase, 'punch you in the neck' when something makes him angry. Which, as you say, is just way too evocative of something not-quite-right. . .
